I focus on one thing: turning ideas into software that actually works.

I can make your software better, faster, and cheaper through extreme ownership and the high standards I've developed over 25+ years working with American companies.

About Me

I'm Ronny, a software engineer with a passion for clean architecture and the kind of code that reads like a good book.

For 25+ years I've designed and built backend systems for American companies: RESTful APIs in .NET and C#, guided by Domain-Driven Design, spanning microservices, modular monoliths, and everything in between — always matching the architecture to what the project actually needs.

I believe great engineering comes down to one principle: clarity with purpose. Whether I'm refining SQL queries, hardening API endpoints, or untangling a legacy module, I aim to leave every codebase easier to reason about than I found it.

When I'm not shipping, I'm writing about the craft here on the blog — security, design patterns, and the practices that make software last.

My Values

Technologies, tools, frameworks and methodologies come and go.

Values, on the other hand, define a professional and they will always be there.

The foundation of any new knowledge, education or expertise I have acquired are:

Humility

It's essential to recognize that I don't know everything. Fellow developers, customers, and all parts interested in a project have their own competences and these will add value to a project.

Ownership

There is no use in 'ain't my problem' kind of attitude and that's not healthy to have in any project. I care what I do. I welcome responsibility gladly. I don't need much direction to do what I have to do.

Diligence

Diligence brings motivation, discipline and concentration to get the best from my time = Productivity. Diligence makes me run toward the fire and don't hide issues.

Flexibility

The ability to adaptation helps me to survive in a world where the only constant is the change. Also, it allows me to keep an open mind in relation to customer needs, architecting, or utilizing the latest and greatest in technology.

Tenacity

Building software is hard. It's a discipline. Our patience and willpower are tested constantly. Not giving up is one of the most useful qualities I've grown in my career.

Honest Curiosity

Curiosity is the reason I studied CS. Since childhood I've wanted to know why certain things work the way they do. Back in '96 I wanted to know why Clippy was able to 'guess' what I wanted to write in MS Word, so with honest curiosity I started to learn programming. Towards the end of '99 I found my first job as a Junior Developer.

// tools of the trade

Tech Stack

I'm a Software Engineer with 25 years of experience. I have been architecting and implementing software solutions half of my life.

One of my greatest joys is building things. So I'm passionate about producing efficient, appealing and robust digital solutions. I am an avid technical reader and learner.

I find it naturally rewarding to create web apps that make life easier for others and solve problems.

I strive to be a top-tier developer. So I'm always improving my communication skills. Learning has been and is my life-style. All boiled down to natural curiosity.

Back-End

As a Microsoft Certified Developer, I focus on .NET Framework and .NET (formerly .NET Core) with C#, crafting RESTful APIs guided by Domain-Driven Design. Whether it's microservices for scalability, modular monoliths for simplicity, or traditional monoliths for stability, I adapt the architecture to deliver what the project demands.

Also I have developed and implemented rest services with Nodejs with Express.

Front-End

I love the flexibility of latest JS Frameworks/libraries. I've been focused on React since 2017 and Nextjs framework since 2021.

Databases

I can architect normalized relational databases using MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MySQL.

I have experience with No-SQL databases. Particularly MongoDB and Firebase.

Mobile

I've put in production applications using Ionic. But most of my apps were developed using React Native. I've passed through the process of publishing hybrid apps in both Google Play and Apple stores several times.

Leadership

I've been in charge of fellow developers for the latest 10 years. I'm used to being responsible for the technical decisions that will impact a business and take care of people as well as mentoring junior developers.

Some Recommendations

Ronny is a dedicated professional with a strong desire to learn and sharpen his skills. I couldn't ask for a better foundation in any developer I work with. Ronny is loyal, hard working, and dedicated to his craft. He loves what he does, which is a rare commodity in the coding profession. A reliable and skilled asset to any on prem or remote development team.

I had the privilege of managing Ronny in his position as Senior Web Developer. Ronny was a joy to work with. He has an exceptional attitude, works well with both his peers and management. Ronny has excellent technical skills and is an efficient developer. He knows how to balance doing what he is asked to do and tactfully adding great suggestions when he notices a better solution might be appropriate. I think Ronny is in the top of his class at pretty much everything he does. I would very much enjoy working with him again someday.

Ronny is one of those ‘hard to find’ talented developers. From a technical standpoint Ronny is a real professional, plenty of skills and capabilities. He has shown to be always at the outermost edge of the latest technologies sharing his knowledge. Not to mention his most valuable part (to me at least): a great teammate with a strong background always willing to help others. I really enjoyed working with you Ronny!!!.
